Your Welcome Reception will be held in AUGUST. Your mandatory Opening Retreat is held in SEPTEMBER and mandatory Closing Retreat will be held in MAY. You will then participate in nine (9) full-day sessions focused on specific aspects of St. Tammany including:

• Social Services

• Education

• Leadership Skills

• Local Government

• Economic Development

• Healthcare

• Environmental

• Judicial and Law Enforcement

 

Your schedule also includes four (5) evening events.

• Slidell Little Theatre

• Project Skills & Information

• Arts Evening

• Louisiana Symphony

• Meeting with Project Coordinators 

 

Sessions include lectures, simulations, group discussions, panel discussions, and field trips.

 

Each class will break into separate teams to develop Community Projects. Your team meetings will be held outside of class.

You are allowed one (1) absence. If you miss two (2) or more sessions you are encouraged to attend them the following year. You will then graduate with that class.
