Thomas “Trey” Brownfield, a lifelong resident of the great state of Louisiana, is best known for his love and commitment to the city of Slidell. He has made his home here in Slidell for over a decade, and in that time has made tremendous efforts to be a contributing member and to help and serve those around him.

Loving husband to his wonderful wife, Gabby Brownfield, and dedicated father, Trey strives to lead his family by example.

Growing up, Trey always had an entrepreneurial spirit. From opening a freezie-pop stand at 13, cutting lawns and washing cars, to starting a dive business at the age of 18, he has always had a knack for business. Naturally, he went on to earn a degree in Business Administration and is now an owner of three small businesses.

Trey also puts his talent for business to good use in the many organizations he works with to better our community. Trey has grown his support in the community through Leadership Northshore, which he was a 2020 graduate of the program. As a founder of two charitable organizations and a board member of five others, Trey strives to help his community by raising funds for local charities, mentoring teens, and bringing awareness to the needs of our community.

As the former director of Keep Slidell Beautiful, Trey was awarded the Outstanding Director of the Year award for 2021 by the state organization, Keep Louisiana Beautiful. Locally, he has been recognized for his service and leadership in our community by the Slidell Republican Women’s Club which awarded him the Pearl Williams Superior Leadership award, The Edge of the Lake Magazine which named him one of 40 Under Forty, and the Slidell Magazine which recently featured him as an Extraordinary Slidell Neighbor. Even with all these awards and recognitions, nothing brings Trey more joy than knowing that he has made a difference for this city that he loves so much.

Trey continues to support the community in a different capacity since his resignation of Keep Slidell Beautiful as the General Manager at Northshore Ace Hardware, a locally owned affiliate that has won the Ace Pinnacle Award two years in a row. In March 2022, Trey was elected Slidell City Councilman District F where he will continue to make changes for a better Slidell.
